Permanent exibitions

PERMANENT EXIBITIONS

Permanent Exhibition opened in 1995 in the second building of the Museum, on the ground Hall, presents the origin and development of the Uzice region from prehistoric times, antiquity, middle, and the new ages, to contemporary history.

PERMANENT EXIBITIONS

Late in September, early in October in 1941, a large liberated territory was created as a base for raising rebellion  in western Serbia, Sumadia and the Morava river basin.

Legacy of painter Mihailo Milovanovic (Gostinica, 1879 – Uzice, 1941) was opened in 2003 at the National Museum Uzice.

A part of the epigraph collection of The National Museum of Uzice, exhibited in the collection of stone monuments belongs to the period from the second half of the second century to the first part of the fourth century.

After partisan forces arrived in Uzice on September 24, 1941, the pre-war factory for production of arms and ammunition in Krcagovo started its work.
