Virtual tours through the National Museum of Užice
Collection of Stone Monuments
Step back in time to the Roman era and explore part of our museum’s epigraphic collection. The virtual tour takes you through the lapidarium, which houses 23 ancient monuments from the 2nd to 4th centuries.
Take a close look at Roman tombstones (cippus, cubes, and stelae), altars, free-standing lion figures, a Corinthian capital, and fragments of ancient marble columns from the territory of the present-day municipalities of Užice, Požega, Kosjerić, Nova Varoš, and Prijepolje, which was once part of the Roman province of Dalmatia.
